A Maryland man has been indicted for his role in the June slaying of a Maryland state trooper outside an Applebee's restaurant in Forestville.
A Prince George's County grand jury indicted 28-year-old Anthony A. Milton II, on Thursday.
Milton is charged with first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder as well as weapons charges in the trooper's death. If convicted, he could face life in prison, plus an additional 20 years.
Another man, 27-year-old Cyril Cornelius Williams, has also been charged with murder in the shooting death of Trooper Wesley Brown.
Williams is in custody, but has not yet been indicted.
Prince George's County State's Attorney Glenn Ivey told WBAL News that Williams was the triggerman in this incident. Milton was an accomplice.
Ivey expects an indictment in the Williams case in the next week.
