Charles Joseph Henry, Sr., lovingly known as Chip to his family and friends, passed away on January 11, 2026 at the age of 82 in Peach Bottom, PA surrounded by his family. He was born on June 23, 1943 in Philipsburg, PA to the late Maynard Brown Henry and Elizabeth Martha (Swires) Henry.
Chip proudly served in the United States Army from 1965-1967, where he toured in Vietnam. After retirement, Chip and his wife, Ruth owned a store in Ocean City, Maryland “Chip’s Beach and Variety” from 1992-2001.
Chip was an active member in the FOP Organization Lodge 4. He loved being outdoors tending to his landscape and vegetable gardens. He was a fan of John Wayne and Clint Eastwood and Roy Orbison. He enjoyed collecting stamps, playing golf, and watching the Ravens and the Orioles.
Chip was most passionate about his family. He always played an active role in his children’s lives, from coaching their recreation teams to teaching them home improvement projects. His immense love and support carried over to his grandchildren as their number one fan.
