The Lodge regrets to announce the passing of Brother Charles “Ron” Fawley.

Charles (“Ron”) Frawley passed away peacefully at his home on December 7, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. He will be remembered for his steady presence, quiet strength, and the deep devotion he carried for those he cherished.

Ron was born to wonderful parents, Charles and Bertha Frawley, who shaped his character, values, and sense of purpose. He was profoundly shaped by the place he grew up—he loved Baltimore and the state of Maryland with a deep and abiding affection. From its neighborhoods and history to its people and culture, Maryland was part of his identity, grounding him throughout his life.

A proud graduate of Mount St. Joseph High School, Ron earned a business degree from Loyola College. His true calling though was clear from childhood: he idolized his father and always dreamed of becoming a police officer. Ron began a distinguished career with the Baltimore County Police Department, and served as one of just twelve narcotics detectives in the county at that time.

After retiring from law enforcement, he began a second career as a Senior Loss Control Inspector at Harford Mutual Insurance Company for more than two decades where he continued to serve his community with diligence and professionalism.

Outside of work, Ron was a man who loved beauty and family. He expressed that love through enthusiastic landscaping projects and was an avid photographer, capturing moments and landscapes with the same attentiveness and appreciation he brought to the people in his life.

Ron is survived by his daughter, Laura (Frawley) Musser, and her husband, Tobias (Toby) Musser; his son, Matthew Frawley, and his wife, Holly; and his stepson, Jeff Wallnofer, and his wife, Dee, and his dear cousin, Joyce Erauth. He was a devoted and deeply proud grandfather to Japeth, Louisa, Arianna, Margaux, Yael, Amiella, Josiah, and Samuel Musser; Tyler Ratley, Dylan and Megan Frawley; and Paige, Virginia, and Carmen Wallnofer. He is also survived by his cherished great-grandchildren, Grayson and Sebastian Musser.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Bertha Frawley and his beloved sister, Joanne Forstner, whom he remembered with affection throughout his life.

The family takes comfort in knowing he is at peace and will forever hold his memory close.
