Charlene E. Coburn
Wife of Brother Donald “Chopper” Coburn,
Charlene E. Coburn, age 75, of Joppa, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 30, 2025.
Born and raised in Baltimore, Charlene was the daughter of the late Herbert Schuder and Edith Laverne (Austin) Dujardin. She was the beloved wife of Donald Coburn, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and adventure.
Charlene was the devoted mother of Heather (Brian) Rill, Shalyn Getz, Carlee (James) Kaufman, and Jamie (Chris) Davis, and the cherished grandmother of Zackary Rill, Rachel Rill, Danielle Baker, Donovan Baker, and Dallas Baker. She is also survived by her loving sister, Kathleen (Anthony) Balchunas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert Schuder and Edith Dujardin.
Charlene and her husband Donald enjoyed traveling and took many memorable cruises with family and friends to destinations including Alaska, the Caribbean, and various European locales. She took great pride in her career as a legal assistant, where she worked for over 30 years before retiring. Charlene also loved baking, especially during the Christmas season, when she filled tins with cookies, applesauce cake, and candy for loved ones. Above all, she dedicated her life to her family and friends and loved to spoil her grandpuppies.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Charlene’s honor to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or The Humane Society of Harford County
