Kent Schiner
Grandfather of Brother Jon Schiner of CIB.
The Lodge regrets to announce the passing of Mr. Kent Schiner. He passed on February 15th, 2024 while on an extended southerly cruise with his family after a full 90 years of life.
Mr. Schiner served his country starting at age 17, when he joined the Marine Corps. During his tenure, he achieved the rank of Sergeant.
He went on to become an Insurance Executive, where he worked for more than 60 years serving high profile clients including members of the Baltimore Ravens. Mr. Schiner was still actively working at 90 but always found time for his family, weekend fishing trips, and to put down his share of crabs.
In 1990, he was elected to serve a 2 year term as the International President of B’Nai B’rith, the world’s largest Jewish Organization. He traveled the world while serving as president and was able to visit 63 countries in his lifetime meeting several sitting United States Presidents at engagements he was invited to as a speaker.
