Sister Kathleen Warner Long
The Lodge regrets to the announce the passing of Sister Kathleen Long.
Kathleen Warner Long, lovingly known as Casey, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2025, at the age of 64. Born in Washington DC on October 24, 1960, Casey was a devoted public servant, a fiercely loyal friend, and a spirited member of every community she touched.
Growing up, Casey was a competitive athlete, scoring medals in swimming, diving, and gymnastics. Casey graduated with honors from Wheaton High School in 1978. After, she attended the University of Maryland College Park, where she had the best times of her life, and made lifelong friendships. Following her passion to serve and protect, Casey attended the police academy and proudly served with distinction in the Baltimore County Police Department. She later earned a second bachelor’s degree from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland.
Casey’s loyalty extended to her favorite teams: the Ravens, Orioles, Maryland Terrapins, and Towson Tigers. Her enthusiasm for sports was matched only by her love of sunshine and the beach.
After retirement, Casey and Frank moved to Belleair Beach, Florida. They both enjoyed leaving behind the cold winters, no more snow, and no more socks. Casey was enthusiastic about her flip flop collection and loved her dolphin mailbox.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband and best friend, Frank Meyer, and her heart-dog, Gracie.
Survived by loving Parents, Sheila and Anthony Warner, siblings, Sharon Huskey and Steve Warner, a stepson, Hank Meyer, as well as niece, Sheila Albright and nephew, John Amos, and other extended family.
In memory of Casey, donations can be made to Humane society of Pinellas County, Florida.
No services are scheduled at this time.
The Lodge extends its deepest sympathy to the Long Family.
