Grandmother of Sister Lauren Pomales and Grandmother-in-Law of Brother Hector Pomales.

The Lodge regrets to announce the passing of Kathryn Margaret Hampel.

Kathryn Hampel, passed away on October 13, at the age of 88. A friend to many, she was a cherished member of the Jacksonville area Westminster Woods community, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, and strength.

She is survived by her children—Barbara Metelsky, Bill Hampel, Kathy Cass (Philip Cass), Tricia Hampel, Bob Hampel, and Michael Hampel (Kitty Tuck-Hampel)—along with eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and countless friends who felt her warmth and generosity.

Kathryn will be remembered for her resilience and the care she offered throughout her life. Her strong faith guided her actions, whether through her service to others or the joy she shared within her community. Her deep commitment to living out her faith left a lasting impact on the lives of all who knew her. She touched each of her children’s lives in different ways, leaving behind both memories and life lessons. Her presence will live on in the stories we share.

There will be no viewing prior to her service. To celebrate her life and honor her memory, a service will be held at San Juan del Rio, St John’s Fla 32259 on Monday November 10th at 11:00 AM. All who knew her are welcome to join us in remembrance. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your local St. Vincent de Paul Society in her memory.

The Lodge extends its deepest condolences to the Hampel and Pomales Family.
