His unwavering commitment led him to the west side at Precinct 2/Woodlawn, where he served diligently in patrol and community outreach. Officer Scott was deeply passionate about mentoring children, dedicating his time to guiding and supporting youngsters across various schools in the Woodlawn precinct. Notably, he regularly assumed the role of an SRO, actively engaging with students and providing invaluable mentorship. Later, seizing an opportunity to work the permanent midnight shift at Precinct 7/Cockeysville, Officer Scott embraced it with enthusiasm. On January 31, 2011, after 28 years of commendable service, he retired from the Cockeysville precinct, leaving behind a legacy of professionalism and dedication.

Beyond his badge and uniform, Scott was known for his love of football. Though he admitted to not being the star player, his love for the game was undeniable. Whether cheering from the stands, his living room, or following the latest scores, Scott found joy in the camaraderie and excitement of football.
